Wedding Dress Wednesday | Stephanie Allin

This week I was inspired by holidays, chic style and the Euros (okay bear with me this isn’t specifically about football!) – it’s more about all things Italian!

It was hard to watch the recent games without noticing that the Italian team were not only extremely organised, tactically clever and well turned out, but whenever they were playing I couldn’t help compare the substitutes they make on the pitch with models walking down the runway.  When every other team looks sweaty, red faced and worn out, they seem to carry an inner confidence of chic style fit for the runways of Milan!

So with that in mind, I have chosen a gown which I absolutely adore from British designer Stephanie Allin’s 2017 ‘Bellissimo Collection’.  It’s called ‘Vania’ and what I love most about this dress is its versatility – whether you plan on having a manor house or a beach hut, this wouldn’t be out of place in either.

Stephanie describes the ‘Bellissimo Collection’ shoot as being “inspired by the effortless glamour portrayed by French and Italian cinema in the 60’s.  The Vania dress epitomises this style, with the perfect balance between glamour and romance.”.

I love the beaded lace bodice and delicate lace capped sleeves – I’ll be honest that I’m not too keen on the jewellery used in the shoot, however that does take it from formal to relaxed in one accessory! I adore the lipstick shade and sunglasses though – where can I get a pair of those?!

It’s also been paired with a detachable silk tulle train so if you wanted a more fitted look then this gown can perform on all levels.

If you are interested in this new 2017 collection, Stephanie Allin has a store in London where more of the Bellissimo Collection is on show for you to try.
