Statement Earrings
Best teamed with high neck dresses and elegant up-dos for a fashion-forward look, or to draw the eye upwards when wearing plunging necklines

Making a statement doesn’t equal expensive, we love these star stud earrings with a back tassel drop we found on Notonthehighstreet.com for less than £7. They’d also work really well for bridesmaids and could make lovely little gifts. My favourite from our earring picks are the Aqua and Gold drop earrings from Ottoman Hands, I love the fact they can be your “something blue” and again, they’re less than £50! (What’s happening to me!)

Black accents in bridal accessories is a big trend for 2018, with designers introducing black sashes and bows to their collections and a number of bridal stylists adding black jewellery to their looks. These black and white rose earrings from Wolf & Badger have a bit of a vintage Chanel feel to them (without the vintage Chanel price tag). Another touch of blue comes courtesy of these tassel ball iolite water sapphire earrings. These are currently reduced from almost £500 to less than £250! Finally, nothing makes a statement like gold and these gold tassel earrings would look fab with high-necked wedding dresses and no other bling (apart from your rings of course!)
Chunky Necklaces
Best teamed with strapless gowns, sweetheart necklines and simple undone hair

A necklace can be a good way to inject a bit of colour into your bridal look. They can also be a great way to change your look for the evening – loose a veil/shrug and add a bold statement to your dress. This blueish green Venetian glass medallion with moonstones is so stunning, with a piece like this, no other jewellery would be necessary! As we’ve mentioned, black and white is so on trend for 2018 Brides and this necklace from Notonthehighstreet would be a perfect nod to the trend. I love big chunky gemstones and as soon as I saw this aquamarine, tanzanite and Kyanite necklace it was love at first sight. It is certainly a higher price point than some of the other picks, but what a fabulous wedding gift and a future family heirloom to be treasured.

For brides channelling a glamorous ‘Old Hollywood’ vibe, then this art deco inspired number from Lulu Frost could be a great finishing touch. If you want something blue (and you have a large budget) you can’t go wrong with Sapphires! This teardrop collar necklace with a halo of diamonds is exquisite (and in the sale!).
Come back for Part Two where we will be looking at Boho bracelets and arm cuffs and delicate pieces for a paired back chic look.
